The Heart Saver CT scan detects calcium deposits in the coronary arteries, and may disclose heart disease in its earliest, most treatable stages, often before a patient has any signs or symptoms of disease. This advanced CT, also known as a CAT scanner, takes detailed x-ray images of the heart and its arteries. By using those images and computer technology, a calcium score is calculated. This calcium score measures the amount of calcified plaque identified, if any, and indicates the level of risk for coronary artery disease. However, the scan will not identify non-calcified plaque that may be present in the coronary arteries.

Key facts about HeartSaver CT:
  • Performed without needles, dyes, injections or exercise
  • Actual procedure takes less than seven minutes to perform
  • Recommended for men over 40 and women over 45 years with known risk factors for developing cardiovascular disease
  • To schedule an appointment call (937) 221-8900
  • Cost: Only $99.00
