a woman’s risk of developing heart disease.

Are you:
Female, 55 years or older
Female, under the age of 55, with early menopause
or have had a hysterectomy with removal of your ovaries
Currently a smoker
Have been diagnosed with Diabetes Mellitus
Have high blood pressure (140/90) or above
Have a father or brother younger than 55 year of age
with heart disease
Have a mother or sister younger than 55 years of age
with heart disease
Are 20 pounds over your ideal weight
Are exercising less than 3 days per week
Your current (within the last 5 years) total cholesterol
level is > 200 mg/dL or unknown
If you have two or more risk factors it means
that you should take this information to your primary care
physician. You and your doctor will have the opportunity to
discuss your concerns and plan a heart healthy future for
you!
