Dayton Heart
Hospital encourages family and friends to visit patients.
Since certain visiting situations may be detrimental to patients,
please follow these general guidelines when visiting.
- Visitors must obtain a visitors pass at the Information
Desk
- Visiting hours are generally from 8:00 am until 8:00 pm
- Family members and friends may stay past visiting hours
with the consent of the attending physician or the nurse
manager.
- Overnight visits with patients may be allowed, at the
discretion of the nurse manager and attending physician.
For your comfort and convenience, each Dayton Heart Hospital
patient room is equipped with a chair-bed (see photo).One
Family member may stay nightly with the patient at the approval
of the attending physician or nurse.
- Up to two visitors may visit with a patient at a given
time. Please consult with the nurse manager and attending
physician if more than two visitors are present.
- Children under 12 years old are not permitted in the patient
care areas except with permission of the physician or nurse.
- Visitors for patients in isolation must follow certain
procedures. Nursing staff on the unit will provide specific
instructions for visiting these patients.
- Visits by children are discouraged for patients in isolation.
